Salt 'n' Pepa were so dope back in the day. They had flow that rivaled any of the male mc's, but they were very aware of their femininity, which was almost unheard of back then. I heard a mix on the radio today, and I felt the waves of nostalgia rush over me. Stacked & layered asymmetrical bobs, bamboo earrings, over-sized salt-n-pepa jackets, biker shorts...to this day I know all of the words to my favorites. "My Mic Sounds Nice", "Tramp", "Everybody Get Up", the list goes on... we mastered all the dance moves in their videos, and it was extra fly when we caught cameos of Kid 'n' Play doing their thing...
